Robbery
Charlie Davies called an ambulance for his injured wife Eve – when PCs Nate Roberts and Beth Green arrived on the scene, he claimed she’d fallen down the stairs. Beth was surprised their daughter Annie didn’t want to talk to her dad. Shortly before the accident, Charlie had told Eve their marriage was over, (he didn’t mention his affair). Eve maintained she fell, but no-one believed her. Whilst at A&E Charlie’s shop is broken in to. Find out by whom in Part 1’s video.
Deceiver
Annie’s missing, but DI Nixon planned to catch her pretending to be her mum on her mobile via text messages. She saw a message from Annie that incriminated Charlie: Annie had money now to escape with her mum, away from him. DC Terry Perkins arrested Charlie for the assault of his wife. Annie was arrested for robbery – but lies in her statement about her parents’ fight, in Part 2’s video.
Profiler
CSE Eddie Olosunje concluded, from his photographs of Eve’s bruised wrists, she was pushed and didn’t fall, as she had eventually admitted. Charlie confessed in an interview he did push Eve, but Nixon’s not happy as it didn’t fit the profile of an abuser. Nixon profiles the pair of them in Part 3’s video and makes an amazing discovery.
Confession
Nixon felt sure they’d got the abuser’s identity totally wrong. Although Charlie had admitted pushing his wife down the stairs, he only admitted it as he was too ashamed of the truth. Now, a confession from the abuser was needed along with a pledge to seek help. Watch Nixon get blood from a stone in Part 4’s video.
