DS Max Carter is the senior investigating officer. The toy shop’s cctv showed Bill Palmer (known to the police) outside the day before, talking to Ronnie Lane who’s fresh out of prison for shoplifting. Palmer works for Curtis Jenson, who is linked to armed robberies. Jade Hopkins is suspected of being the robbers’ decoy. See Max uncover an incriminating link between some of the usual suspects in Part 2’s video…
Car Chase
Convinced this was a family plot, Max ordered the homes and businesses of all the suspects to be searched. The gun used in the robbery was found in Jade’s house, in her baby’s cot! PC Millie Brown and Max clashed over Jade’s involvement: Millie insisted Jade was innocent. Other evidence uncovered proved Ronnie had phoned Palmer a dozen times before the robbery; the paper used to wrap large quantities of money was found in Curtis’s sun-bed shop and Palmer was picked up with £20,000 on him. Millie’s detection skills led to a chase of the stolen van used in the raid. See if they catch their man in Part 3’s video…
Kidnapped
Max went over the details of the case: He suspected, but couldn’t prove, that Curtis Jenson had bankrolled the job and Bill Palmer was his go-between. The job fits Jeff’s MO (he had an alibi). Getaway driver, Alex, informed police Ronnie got him onto the job and Ronnie admitted the robbery. Jade insisted she didn’t know anything about the gun or raid. Max knew Curtis had put pressure on Ronnie for £20,000 and threatened the safety of Jade and her baby. Jade was released from custody, but find out why Millie was afraid for her safety in Part 4’s video…
