Bogus
When a jewellery shop was robbed an unlucky customer, Adrian Butler, refused to hand over his bag - the owner applauded the have-a-go-hero. DCs Grace Dasari and Will Fletcher questioned Adrian, but their suspicions were roused when he disappeared straight afterwards. Fingerprints proved Adrian was in fact Justin Reed, who has been on the run for murder.
Liar
Justin was accused of killing Diane Anderson during a burglary four years ago – before she died of head injuries, she claimed Justin beat her. His accomplice was Barry Usher, released from prison this week after doing four years for his part in the crime. Elsewhere Andrew ‘Wes’ Wesley admitted the armed robbery and stealing Justin’s bag which contained the fake passport. Justin’s sister Rebecca and her dad Henry claimed they hadn’t seen Justin in over four years – however Rebecca’s business card was found in Justin’s bag taken in the robbery and this proved she lied.
Loyal
Justin was spotted hiding out at his dad’s empty property – but he escaped the police once again. Eventually Henry admitted he had arranged for his son to get a fake passport to avoid prison. But Henry lied about who got Justin the passport and following a wild goose chase, DS Max Carter went to arrest Henry. Before he could though, the old man keeled over with a heart attack.
Crash
DC Stevie Moss and Max were on an obbo watching Rebecca – they followed her when she left on her motorbike. It soon turned into a chase where Max leapt from the car to chase on foot. Shortly afterwards, alone, Stevie caught up with Rebecca who had met Justin – Stevie felt she had convinced Justin to give himself up, but then Max ran around the corner shouting and frightened the pair off. Max and Stevie chased them in the car until Rebecca crashed – Justin was suspected of having a broken neck or back. Whilst Max was matter-of-fact, Stevie was racked with guilt, wondering what they had done.
