DS Max Carter upsets another colleague attempting to undercover what has happened to a teenage runaway: When Helen Harris is found dazed and confused, staggering around a busy road, together Max and DC Terry Perkins uncover a sinister sex trafficking ring. Young girls are exploited and groomed into the sex trade.
Hassan, the good looking boyfriend, snares the unsuspecting 15-year-old victims. After a brief period of gifts, compliments and kisses, the girls are passed onto other men and into a life of sex slavery. On an OBBO Terry and Max witness another girl being passed on by Hassan. Max is happy for events to play out to ensure a result, but Terry disobeys Max fearing an innocent girl is about to be raped.
All the while, whilst attempting to enforce the law, Max is breaking the law as he’s forever nipping to the loo and snorting cocaine…
