Sgts Stone and Smithy worked along side each other to try and bring Jason Devlin to justice. He’s the owner of E1, a busy bar that’s exterior became a crime scene: Andy Brennan was viciously attacked for allowing Jason’s girlfriend Abi to peck him on the cheek. A cab driver gave a witness statement that placed Jason at the scene of the crime around the same time. Whilst investigating another seemingly unrelated case Sun Hill’s sergeants stumbled upon a psychotic, dangerous and violent Jason. Also whilst he was in police custody the cab driver’s car was set on fire and that was all the intimidation required for him to retract his incriminating statement. Smithy was exasperated when Jason Devlin was bailed. That very same evening E1 was on fire – with the flames totally engulfing the bar, a massive explosion ripped through the upstairs and blew out the windows. Was this a revenge attack or did Jason instigate it…?
