Josie Hibbert is a prison officer and a friend of PC Leon Taylor; they’ve been having breakfast together after a night shift for about three months now. She’s wondering when he’s going to ‘make a move’. Josie doesn’t know he’s still grieving for his girlfriend killed in an RTA two years ago.
Whilst DS Max Carter has Mark Wilson under surveillance, Leon is discovered to be in the middle of a bar-room brawl with him whilst defending Josie.
Max brings Leon in on the investigation and asks him to involve Josie. Leon has to convince Josie to break the law and smuggle a mobile phone in to the prison where she works for Mark’s brother Shaun Wilson.
When its discovered she is a personal friend of Shaun’s girlfriend, Leon and CID don’t know what side of the law Josie is on.
