The Bill has earned a nomination, for the second year running, for the prestigious British Academy Film Awards.
ITV1’s top cop show will be judged on a pair of episodes from last year titled ‘Closing The Net’. These focused on the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Unit (CEOPs) about covert policing to catch paedophiles operating on the internet.
The Bill continually strives to tell gripping, thought provoking and compelling stories about what it’s like to be a police officer in today’s London.
For this the show has been nominated for Best Continuing Drama.
The competition for this year’s BAFTA, in this category, is from Casualty, EastEnders and Emmerdale.
The awards take place on Sunday 26th April at the ceremony held at the Royal Festival Hall.
